Chatterbox Training Review: Google Searching

Chatterbox TrainingEver used Google before? Of course you have, but do you really know how to use Google to it’s fullest potential? Probably not. In fact most people know very little about how to really use Google properly.

The vast majority of the computing world uses Google to search and for most of us we just plonk a couple of keywords into the Google Search box and hope it finds what we want. But what if it doesn’t find what you are looking for? Well that’s why training like this exists. On the surface you might think…”hey, I use Google, what can this training teach me?” Well, I fancy myself as a bit of a power user yet I found the videos in this package quite eye-opening.

The first video is a typical introduction and most people will find it eases them into the rest of the training. At video 2 we start really learning how we can best use Google’s Boolean features to really nail the searches we enter. I have to say that these videos have probably the best explanations of Google Search that I’ve ever seen, really well done.

The really cool stuff though is to be found in videos 3-6 where you’ll learn some pretty cool search techniques to help you find almost anything you want. I won’t give them away, but there a some pretty creative searches here and if you use them, you’ll likely be one of the few people that can find anything you want first shot.

Finally, Chatterbox Training have also thrown in a couple of bonus videos, 1 which explains a little bit more about how the Spidering process works for people that don’t understand it, and another nice video which shows you how to use Google to save some money.

One final thing I should mention is that this training is produced in 1024×768 resolution and comes with both .wmv files and .mp4 files so you can play them on your desktop and the iPad. They are very high quality so it’s nice to have them at home or on the go with your iPad.

The bottom line: It’s just the right amount of training to help you get to grips with becoming a Google Power User. We like it.

Pros:
At $47 it’s really affordable.
You’ll learn a lot, even if you think you already know it all.
Comes in .WMV and iPad Files.

Cons:
Nothing really stands out as bad.
